Bingin' Buffy - Season 1 thus far (up to 1x06)

I'd run out of shows to watch until a coworker suggested Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The humor has been ruined for me somewhat by Whedon seepage over the years, and the sexual menacing Buffy experiences is disturbingly frequent. But I'm enjoying it overall in a goofy, late 90s way.

Just finished the episode where the bullies were possessed by hyenas. Now that was campy fun. They actually killed off the principal! They ate him.

...Can we just talk about how dreamy 90s David Boreanaz is? Like damn.

This post reminded me I really need to get back into Buffy. (Just left off somewhere in Season 3—and yes, Season 1 is such a nineties time capsule of cheese. I find the character-grounded humor more funny than the Whedonesque quips, which are a dime a dozen these days.) I hear you on Angel, too; all that soulful staring really grew on me as I kept watching!

I adore unintentional time capsules. I can't wait until my childhood shows become nostalgic. It's already happening with fashion - like gaucho pants, remember those?

Going through a few clickbait articles about 00s fashion has made me do a double take. Charm braclets, platform sandals with rhinestones, big 'ol belts, long tunic shirts over jeans... I have aged terribly in the last few minutes.
